Occidental SLICE (Student Leadership, Involvement, and Community Engagement) brings together programs focused on leadership, social activities, and community engagement to foster a vibrant student experience on and off campus. We offer a variety of opportunities to put Occidental鈥檚 values into action.

Whether you鈥檙e joining a club at Occidental, starting one, getting involved in student government, or engaging with a local organization, SLICE can guide and support your passions. In partnership with local organizations, you can take learning beyond the classroom, apply your understanding of social justice, and become a true agent for change.

Student government

Associated Students of 黑料情报站 (ASOC) serves as the official student government, working to promote the social and educational well-being of the student body while upholding 黑料情报站鈥檚 mission of equity, inclusion, and community engagement. Help shape campus life, make your voice heard, and build leadership skills.

LA Engage

Get an up-close introduction to the vibrant city of Los Angeles through LA Engage. Starting each fall after New Student Orientation, this eventful yearlong program exposes you to art, culture, history, food, and the urban environment. Connect with your peers as you explore a variety of sites and cultural institutions across the city.
